fitness88 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Using the Saitek X52 Smart Technology software when you latch a button, as example 'D' button, the 'D' buttons in all the other modes get latched as well. Is there a way to latch only a button for one mode? If not through Smart Technology software perhaps editing a .lua file. C:\Users\fitness88\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\F-15C\joystick Thank you.

From what I remember, if you set a modifier in SST software, it can only be used as a modifier regardless of what mode. I don't use saitek anymore so I can't go play around to verify.. Imo it's easier to set a modifier from within DCS, and the pinky trigger was/is my favorite. Then again I did use the SST software to make the mousenub control slew in DCS, and turn my rotaries into buttons. Spoiler Win 11 Pro, z790 i9 13900k, RTX 4090 , 64GB DDR 6400GB, OS and DCS are on separate pci-e 4.0 drives Sim hardware - VKB MCG Ultimate with 200mm extension, Virpil T-50CM3 Dual throttles. I latched the 'D' button because I wanted the button to stay pressed after I released my figure from it. I just don't want the rest of the 'D' buttons in the other modes to be latched. Once you latch a button, all other modes of that button automatically become latched and stay latched.

Sounds as if it functions similar to adding a button for a shift state which is what I was describing.
