Hi All,

I have upgraded to 1.12 patch recently and i am noticing a strange behaviour. I don't know if this was there prior to 1.12 pathc. When i hit "Alt + home" key to start the left engine, tachometer needles don't move at all. I hear a loud thunk after a few seconds, similar to lowring under carriage or flaps. After that i can here the noise of engine raising from smll humming to a screem but still the needles are motionless  I then hit "Shift + Home" for right engine and the result is same. Also sometimes the a/c doesn't come to a grinding halft after hitting "W" key and holding it. All these things happen with SU -25. Any suggestions? :helpsmilie:

Thanks.

Also, check that your throttle is at idle. I had trouble starting the su-25, before calibrating my throttle.

from what limited info Ive seen so far - yes the froggies do have "crappy" wheelbrakes.

As for the startup issues and the "thunk" noises - yeah it probably is the lack of avionics power up.... Ill try it next time im in the pit and see.... Im pretty diligent in hitting shift-l and i cant say Ive ever seen that particular phenomena happening....

The Su-25 does have simulated failed engine starts every 1 in 30 startups. You have to shut down and let it spool all the way down. Then restart. Sometimes they do not restart you have to get a new bird.

Thanks guys for the help. I have been able to start the aircraft and the tachometer needles do work properly, once i hit SHIFT + L before spooling the engines.

I ran into another issue. I have built a mission for A-10 for navigation earlier and just replaced A-10 with SU-25 for the heck of it. The distance to first and second waypoint is shown correctly by the nav computer, but when i approach ILS it shows the dist. to way point 445 KM !! :shocking: I tried hitting ~ to toggle various ILS, but the result varies in the range of 400 to 450 KM. The same mission works fine with A-10 and F-15 C.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
