Any good YouTube Videos of proper startup?

I've been looking at some startup videos for the mirage 2000, but I'm not sure which are the better ones. I'm looking for some that are true to life when starting the Mirage 2000. Anyone know which ones are true to life? Thanks!

Also, with this startup sequence you wouldn't really be able to contact ATC to request start-up before actually starting up, would you?

Would you get the aircraft into the air from cold with this video? Yes. Is it the right procedure? Maybe not, unless I'm missing something and the M2000C has radio power before switching on engine and battery. :noexpression:

My humble rig: Windows 10 pro 64bit; i7-6700k on Gigabyte Z170X G7; 32GB; MSI 980ti Twin Frozr; 512GB Samsung 950 Pro (NVMe/PCIe x4); 1TB Samsung 850 Pro; Komplete Audio 6; TrackIR 5 Pro;

DCS 2.5 with almost all modules; favourites: Shark, Mi-8, Harrier, Viggen, Mirage, Hornet

I didn't review the video but:

- you have to ask for engine start (if you want to play it right) :)

- radios work without engine running:

-- UHF on GPU (AC power from the AC QRA bus) (buggy for now, this is known)

-- V/UHF on battery (DC power from the DC main bus)

Refer to updated manual for the bus shematics.

That was in reply to what I said before? Of course the radio works with battery on, but not with the sequence suggested in the video, where he first starts the engine and then the battery, if I'm not mistaken.

It struck me as odd. He wouldn't be able to call ATC for start-up clearance that way (not that he bothered anyway), and for any other aircraft he wouldn't be able to start the engine either, unless I'm missing something. :)

He didn't have ground power, either.

In other words, that's not the correct startup procedure, so likely not what the OP was looking for. In fact the very first thing in the in Engine Start procedure according to manual is BATT Switch On.

A little OT, but does anyone know if ATC start up clearence is even necessary in the Mirage? Bunyap often reminds us that this is not really the case for American aircraft, but seems to be standard procedure in Russian ones. So how about the French?

OK, then the video is wrong, this is not the correct procedure (as you said).

I'm at work, didn't review the video. ;)

The funny thing is, when I watched the video, I thought that can't be right. I always look to start an aircraft in this order Battery, Apu, Engine, Avionics, but I'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it.
