so on start you turn bat+Gen/alt

then start fuel then turn the starter switch on if you do this fast there is a delay before the starter runs i'm assuming it's allowing the "start fuel" to run but in reality shouldnt you be able to ven/start the engine at any time there should be no delay?

 

also after bat on and you can not vent the engine? not rly needed in game but for hotstart/compressor washes. shouldnt VENT be starter with NO igniter.

 

the start seems very easy when i would belive it would be easier to burn the motor up on the start or is this just for simplicity in the sim?

Fuel pump on

WAIT 20 SECONDS

Then starter on.

 

If you didn't wait 20 second, push it to vent for a bit and start over.

finding SA 342 startup is not easy can find 341's on youtube but the start logic just seems alittle easy i know this is earily access i'm just wondering is this how it plans to stay or is there still some tweaking to be done?

 

 

 

i'm not positive about 342 but watching the startup videos most seem to be 341's. but the overhead yellow handle "fuel?" should be moved forward to idle before start? further does the gazelle have a clutch or are they all starting with the rotor brake on due to the rotor system?
