Lately after the recent updates I am experiencing a LOT of loss in airspeed when doing very simple and even semi gentle maneuvers or turns with the Mirage 2000C. It almost feels like I am flying with the FBW off. At the moment I can pull higher G turns in the F-15C and Su-27 and maintain better energy than the mirage used to be able to.

Hopefully I am not the only one experiencing this?

Theoretically this behavior is correct.

It's one drawback of delta wings which suffer high drag (and so velocity loss) at high angle of attack due to the huge tip vortexes.

Yeah, thats correct. A delta wing has awesome turn rates when flying fast, but it bleeds energy more quickly. The solution is having a huge engine, like in the Eurofighter.

In the M2000C you have to watch your speed and AoA carefully. It is a good nimble fighter, but the F-15 has far more powerful engines.

And while it bleeds speed quickly it will outmaneuver a F-15 or Su-27 as long as you have energy.

Lets say you are fighting a Su-27 and he is simply turning as hard as he can and bleeding speed.

You will both turn tighter and burn speed at a faster rate.

But you will very likely be able to get your weapons on him before he can get his on you.

But to note is that while this is useful in a 1vs1 and will often let you kill your enemy you will burn speed very quickly and leave you vulnerable if there are other hostiles in the area attacking you while you are slow.

However using the mountains is a great way to lose them and regain energy + speed

Mountain fighting with the Magic II is likely the deadliest way of using the Mirage in Multiplayer right now.

And i love it.

Energy bleed is an expected behavior with delta wing. However, it seems excessive in this module, and does not fit the behavior described by pilots.

I beg to differ. At the very least, energy bleed was too low previously. I have yet to obtain confirmation about how it it now, but don't take previous versions as a reference.

Indeed, I did not test the previous versions extensively anyways !

Without precise public data on the real beast it's difficult to evaluate.. but from what I heard, read, ..., it bleeds a tad too much now (max G (elastic stop), full AB turn at SL from 500 kts).
