I recently have received my HTC VIVE and have been playing around with DCS again. (Just finishing up with school) And i have a very old Saitek joystick i use to use with BF2. My question is what is a affordable older model joystick set up that i could buy that would have enough buttons/switches that i could do most things in the jet i currently only have the F15C dlc. But plan on buying the Flaming Cliffs 3 once i get good enough to join a clan. Im looking to spend around $80 max used (wife is already peed off that i spent $800 on the vive.) The cheaper the better just playing around with it right now.

Also do you know where i could buy mounts to mount each of the joysticks? Im gonna build a small cockpit just a seat with joystick mounted on either side and put Rutter pedals on it.

Thanks all,

If you're handy, there are many DIY joystick mounts. Other commercial ones include Wheel Stand Pro.

DIY models: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=139801

or a foldable stand: http://www.battle-fields.com/commscentre/showthread.php?25663-Project-Foldable-SimPit

And finally, as for joystick, there's this: Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas

I haven't used it, but there were some reviews/talks about it in the parent INPUT and OUTPUT forum.

You can build your own stands for about 20 bucks worth of PVC or something similar.

Good info above about sticks, Craigslist is always an option, just be careful. Also watch out for older sticks that seem like a good bet, a lot of them won't run on the newer OS and driver support/upgrades are basically non-existent.
