jetsmell Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I have DCS 2.0.2 and Combined Arms. I can't get a mission started. Just to get my feet wet something simple. Maybe a tank going after a static target or an air defence shooting at a heli. I've been trying to find a check list or video that can show me how.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 4, 2016 ED Team Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) You can use the editor to create a mission. DCS 2.0 is open alpha / early access for testing the NTTR terrain so some features are not complete yet. 1.5.3 is a better option currently for ready made combined arms mission content. edit: added a mission below, just quickly thrown it together Edited May 4, 2016 by BIGNEWY Forum rules - DCS Crashing? jetsmell Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 I'm aware of the editor, it's the steps one takes in getting a mission together.
pepin1234 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Make a search for a .pdf in the DCS folders, then you gonna find the CA manual. To use DCS 2.0 you need Nevada maps. If you have not purchased Nevada, then you are not able to use 2.0, this is because DCS 2.0 is in Alpha stage. So you need download the DCS 1.5.3 and install CA on it. You gonna find there some mission by default. Enjoy Edited May 5, 2016 by pepin1234 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

609_Relentov Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Hey jetsmell, as long as the mission you are playing has included at least one tactical commander (or game master) slot, and at least one eligible ground unit has the "allow player to control" (going off memory here) check box checked, simply start the mission. When you choose the tactical commander slot and click brief/start, you will be given the F10 map view. Then click on one of the objects you want to get into/control and then hit right-alt-J and you're in. Have fun. Relent
