Rlaxoxo Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 While I agree that Afterburner looks nice and all I was wondering if there were any planes of making the afterburner look as close as possible to Real Life For example some Night shots: Or is this a limitation put on by DCS it self? Once again the Afterburner looks just fine, just would be awesome if it could look like it does in those pictures imho [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
SkateZilla Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Currently DCS Does not have Separate Day/Night Afterburners. Azrayen Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Well, in FC2 there was a day/night switch. We used it in AdA mod v2 to switch afterburner models and lighting up formation lights. It was on/off so a bit strange when switching, but otherwise very cool. Day: Night: Oh, and overwing vapor, too (old school, still nice): http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1490440#post1490440
King_Hrothgar Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 It should emit the same colors regardless of what the background lighting is. The difference between day and night is due to the background lighting coming through and adding to the AB's emitted light. I don't know if DCS allows for additive light sources or not. Seems like is should but maybe it doesn't.
