Eight Ball Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Damn right we do! Great stuff Mbot, you're certainly putting my skills to shame with your long line! Glad to see we can now drop cargos on ships, they used to fell right through. That Huey VERTREP looks like a great mission :music_whistling: Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)
RabidRider Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) Very nice flying MBot! What controls do you use? I'm slowly getting the hang of it, but picking up, dropping cargo, is not yet as smooth. FPS also seems to have an impact. Made some graphics changes, now I have higher frame rates and can more finely control the Huey. Thinking of buying the Komodo cyclic next. Rudder atm is MFG crosswind. What setup are you flying with Eight Ball? Edited May 15, 2016 by RabidRider
Eight Ball Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Yes, I think good FPS is important in this kind of operations otherwise I think it might create some input lag. I'm flying with a TM warthog and no rudder pedals atm. Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)
RabidRider Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I see. I did fly with the micro joystick on the ch throttle as rudder for a while, but now it's much easier :)
MBot Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 I created the VERTREP mission last year when I found out that you can spawn cargo on static ships per script. Unfortunately this doesn't work all the time in multiplayer and cargo offload detection on ships is also a bit unreliable, so I abandoned the concept for a public release. Still, for some solitary cargo flying every now and then it is sufficient. I am using a Logitech G940 with liner axis and 50% force feedback, the WH throttle and Simped F16 rudder pedals. The G940 has its weaknesses, but the lightness of the stick and force trim is really a great plus for flying helicopters.
