leafer Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Yeah baby. Finally got access to highspeed yesterday! Very cool. Couple of questions; sorry if these has been asked before. On a tight Internet budget so can't be searching. The part where the flight control is tested, the ejection handles moved when the pedals were moved. So we're getting animated legs? Can I hit a button and watch the AI go through the start up proceture for me? Or will it be hit a button and vroommm. Will there be an English cockpit. I'm stupid. Really. I am! What's with the test screen before the TV comes on? Is that for real and on the real thing? If so, that's so like 1950s. heh Last but not least. Is the black shark still ugly? It was last time I looked but it's been a while. :p ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

dynamocl Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 It has also been reported that there will not be an ENglish cockpit, however if you hover your cursor over a control, it will show a tool tip with English translation. I do beleive this is just visible in the startup on a few things, only for a fraction of a second.

After a while you don't need to look at the label, you just know that a particular switch does a particular job. The flashing label is just the icing on the cake. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Shotsx74 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 If you watch the ABRIS/WCS i believe the moniters/LCD's were in english display mode. I assume that some parts of the cockpit may be re-done by modders for english but maybe not. But watch that vid andyoull see the english moniters.
leafer Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 I couldn't watch the ABRIS. Had to cancel the download bcuz the owner of the net place caught me downloading those two vids. You're not allowed to dl anything on these comps. Didn't even finish watching the start up. Anyway, I'll just hit start and go flying. Word to true dat! ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Fufunka Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 DarkSoul> Simmeters have already working version of Lockon glasspanel gauges and HUD view export so if they will support MFD/ABRIS/Flir you only add "few dozen" switches, displays and warning lights connected for instance via opencockpits IO cards.. Opencockpits architecture is already supported in Lockon FC, MSFS, IL2, Falcon, and EECH is in alpha now.. http://avia.transas.com/eng/abris.htm to quote myself :megalol: ABRIS in the BS is as the real deal so various language packs are already in the system. At least the ENG/Russian..
