Kartoffel Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Can somebody give me an explanation of how the jamming works. I have heard that the mirage's ECM is very good and France is renounced for their ECMs, so is it just going to be normal like the flaming cliffs planes or is it going to be more complex? Also I would like to know what exactly all the buttons do as it isn't really made done justice in the guide. Thanks guys! :pilotfly: War is easy and is just like riding a bike. jojo Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 As far as I know DCS only handle noise jamming. So DCS M-2000C won't be different. The only parameter would be jammer strength. Mirage fanatic ! I was afraid of that  War is easy and is just like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and you are on fire and you realise you are in hell :joystick:

Just read this on another thread from Zeus which indicates DCS has more than just noise jamming which include false tracks but it is up to the developer to invoke. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2794336&postcount=36
jojo Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Yep, indeed I was right to take some precautions...because I was wrong :D Mirage fanatic ! Kartoffel Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Yep, indeed I was right to take some precautions...because I was wrong :D Oh well, there are other types that aren't included as well though? Zeus67 Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Oh well, there are other types that aren't included as well though? No. The jamming is only noise and fakes. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
Flagrum Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Hrm, what type of jamming will the M2KC perform? Can we use both types as well - for example by using the "MODES" 3-position switch at the ECM control panel?
Kartoffel Posted May 31, 2016 Author Posted May 31, 2016 No. The jamming is only noise and fakes. Are there any others in real life? War is easy and is just like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and you are on fire and you realise you are in hell :joystick:
Oceandar Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 I read in this very forum that Mirage 2000 actually has powerful jammer. If that's true, probably Razbam should increase M2000 jamming effectiveness to deny Eagle & Flanker range advantage. It could make interesting gameplay....
