Mouse cursor is only thing DCS got to interact with cocpit. So this is completly ED issue not some VR hands issue. How can LM develop support for DCS when not have such support at all, or plan to do it. You got simple support in OR and again it is interact with your head move not with your hands.

In every 3D environment is possible to implement such support but ED didn't show inters to implement such thing in DCS and we how much they need to do much more simpler stuff so forget about it that you will see such support in next few years even is is possible.

Did you even read my post? Have you read the rest of the thread? You completely misunderstand. LM can not develop support for DCS, I never said that. ED has to develop support for LM from the ground up.

Sorry m8 if I misunderstand you or you misunderstand me, it was not my intention. I was not refer only on you even if I quote you but in general on this thread and smoe other with same thematic.

My point was we need made presure or request too ED to change mouse cursor behavior in DCS from classic 2D to 3D placed in cocpit. That is the basic for all LM or similar glove solutions.

In past there was some thread with similar theme and I was describe how this should work even with classic mouse control. It should be similar like it is in most of RTS titles when you oriented in 3D space. Same way should be moving cursor on X,Y and Z axis floating in space not sticked to your view in front your face and move together with your head.

This should be most simplest solution and easy developed one. ED should take that in consideration. This way shouldnt be hard to develop it.

Ah, now I see what you mean! Yeah, it would be one way to go, but then you'd still have to tie the LM integration to the cursor. In FSX with FlyInside, the LM interaction is completely separate, and largely mimics what you would do in real life, flipping switches and such. You can use both mouse and LM at the same time. Simple.

I just found this on reddit:

Seems it does exactly what I want! Setting it up now to see if it works.

Edit: Apparently only works if you load DCS via SteamVR...

Sharkku,

Everything you said about how good Leap Motion would be, I agree 100%

How are you going with Leap Motion in DCS. I dont use Steam, but Leap in DCS is a must.

l just started using DCS and love it, except l keep going for the switches with my hands. Leap Motion is just so natural. The mouse is such a significant let down after using FlyInside with FSX and P3D. Once you have used Leap Motion, you just cant go back to a mouse.

I can only hope someone can work it out and let us know.

DCS, you really need to do some work to make Leap Motion function as it is such a disappointment. It feels like old technology having to use the mouse and does destroy the immersion. I’d even pay a fee for an add-on.

Common DCS. You have a great program. Just finish it off properly.

You don't find LEAP's lack of accurate tracking annoying? Have they improved it that much since I tried it (more than a year ago)?
