Hi guys,

Example: I want to change UH-1H to Su-25T a/c. I would clear the helo profile first, load up the SU-25T profile (previously saved) in place, then pick SU-25T, and fly.

The problem I'm having is that when the profiles are loaded (Throttle, stick and rudder pedals) all the axes and buttons are messed up. It happens on both X-55 Rhino and Warthog HOTAS. I end up remapping my controls a few times already, and it's going nowhere - same problems regardless of what a/c it is. Even with a fresh DCS install will not solve it.

All I want to do is to switch profile, change to a/c I want to fly with pulling my hair. Is that too much to ask? :)

Appreciate your expertise and happy flying.

Thank you much!

Which HOTAS are you using?

DCS does (did?) mess up the axis controls by doing double assignments (rudder is defined as joystick input, for example)

But once you clear it, it should be fine.

So we need to know if you are talking about DCS' built-in control setup options or some HOTAS specific profile.

If I am reading you correctly, you are doing it completely wrong.

You do not need to load a different profile for each aircraft.

Each aircraft already has its own profile saved.

So if you select "KA-50 sim" and make changes there, then switch to "SU-25" in the drop down box and makes changes there, those two changes are independent. That is, all your changes made while KA-25 is selected are stored in one set and the SU-25 changes are stroed in another set, without ANY explicit saving/loading of profiles on your part.

I suggest you select your helo from the menu, make all the changes you want. Then without saving/loading anything, just select the SU-25 and make all the changes there. I suspect you will find that this works fine.
