j0nx Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I have recently been going all in learning this beast because it's so much fun to fly and am having an issue with cold and dark. I created a mission with the mi8 at tblisi and set the mi8 for dark ramp start in the options so I could practice startups. I am seeing that some of the switches are already in the up position when starting in the cold and dark config. Is there a way to turn all switches off at load time so the helo is at a truly off configuration? Thanks. j0nx Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 Hydraulic and cross feed are both on in a cold and dark cockpit. There are 2 or 3 others that I can't recall atm. Maybe they are supposed to be that way? I just assumed that all switches would be in the off position in cold and dark? Maybe not. j0nx Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 Hmm ok. I guess the last crew to fly it forgot to turn off the switches! I'll have to talk to them about following procedures on their shutdown list. :pilotfly: Devrim: thank you very much for the awesome English cockpit mate. I would never have figured this bird out without your excellent addon! ROTORCRAFT RULE GB Aorus Ultra Z390| 8700K @ 4.9GHz | 32 GB DDR4 3000 | MSI GTX 1080ti | Corsair 1000HX | Silverstone FT02-WRI | Nvidia 3D Vision Surround | Windows 10 Professional X64 Volair Sim Cockpit, Rift S, Saitek X-55 HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, Microsoft FF2, OE-XAM Bell 206 Collective, C-Tek anti-torque pedals UH-1, SA342, Mi-8, KA50, AV8B, P-51D, A-10C, L39, F86, Yak, NS-430, Nevada, Normandy, Persian Gulf
AlphaOneSix Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Main and Aux Hydraulic switches are always left on. Other than for testing they should never be turned off. Same goes for the fuel crossfeed switch. Always open unless there is a specific need to close it. I don't remember if the game does this, but in real life, the Governor switches are always left on and never turned off. I think that's all of them. EDIT: Where I work, we also leave all of the overhead circuit breakers on at all times, unless there is an emergency procedure or test that requires them to be turned off.
