I've made a little mission where you taxi a m2000 to the runway but just as you get to the threshold 2 other m2000's land together infront of you. No matter what I do the 2 m2000's get within a few meters of the runway then flair up and go around. I haven't asked the atc to take off and have not crossed the threshold. I've even given the landing jets 5% fuel as I thought this would give then priority. Any idea how to get them to land?

Seem to remember an AI landing bug that was causing them to do this, think it was the tandem landing. Try it with a single AC and see what happens.

I tried a blank mission with 2 aircraft landing in tandem and no other objects at all on the map. They land together perfectly every time, I just can't work out what causes them to abort all the other times.

I had the same problem with a mission before, 2 planes landing tandem was just not possible. With the automated CAP script working in the same mission, that led to a locked down airbase very fast, with lots of aircraft waiting to start, and 2 hornets trying to land, aborting, going around, trying to land again..

Well I've found the problem. There is no tandem landing bug. I had a gazelle take off from a nearby farp just at the time the aircraft were landing which made them go around. Now they land perfectly together.

Unfortunately there is another problem. Any other ai planned waiting to take off have to wait until the pair that have just landed taxi all around the airfield to their parking spots. The other Ai will not move until they are parked which can take a very long time.
