Tu-142 can fly without wings

Something odd has happened to the Tu-142's damage model. I shot off both of its wings, but it remained in control flight and was able to eventually fly to an airfield and land.

AIs do not use normal flight model and dammage model due to CPU limitations (ie you want 50 bombers, lotta lag).

 

This is why stuff like that happens, I've also seen a mirage 2000 landing with no vert. stabilisator and a missing wing, where the mirage landed on 2 gears ;)

 

This behavior affects pretty much every AI aircraft, ED's aware of it. Doubt it will be fixed as this lowers CPU load as I said. Just use a few more bullets :/

Lol. Why don't they just make it explode instead of removing wings without any consequence?

This has nothing to do with advanced FM, it's just a badly scripted behavior.
