CptTangerine Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Hi I posted a similar topic to this in the P-51 section and have been advised to post it here instead. When I'm playing, the Vive backdrop occasionally pops through for a second or so. It's pretty annoying but not a game-breaker. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? Cheers! uri_ba Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I only get the vive "load env" when the game loads (going from UI to 3D). once in the pit I don't get it anymore. Eihort Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 This appears to be associated with your frame rate dropping or the game momentarily freezing to load something. During normal monitor use, it's no big deal, but in the headset, that kind of freeze can cause almost instant nausea, so I think it's a comfort safety feature.
CptTangerine Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Thanks. I have noticed that there is occasional lag in the Black Shark when I'm turning my head. It does a sort of double-take but it doesn't cause the load env to appear. What's the most effective way of keeping my frame rates up? Is there a particular setting that will make a very large difference without compromising graphics quality too much?
