Avarax Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 ABIRS Hello, I have a problem with binding ABRIS on the throttle lever. I have a x55 joystick. Without any problems I was able to bind buttons 1-5 on the throttle lever. The problem occured when I tried to bind the scrollwheel which ABRIS uses to move through the menu. The problem isn't in bidning it, but when I use the scrollwheel or any button it scrolls through the entire menu, is there any trick for this? Speed I can't see the speed indicator in ka-50 and I have to count it down from the speedmeter next to the horizon which is annoying.
BaD CrC Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 It is possible that your scroll wheel does not emulates key presses unlike the switches of your joystick and is just an analog axis. The rotating knobs of the ABRIS are working with key presses (left/right/click). So you need to assign them to switches, not analog axis. Since 1.5.3, the initial point of view is not set up correctly and the numerical speed indication on top of the HUD is hidden. You have to move your head slightly lower using the view keys or even better, a track IR! https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

BaD CrC Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Ah OK. Sorry I misunderstood. Is there a way for the X55 the change the rate at which it is sending the keystrokes? It looks like your switch 14 is sending a burst of key presses very quickly. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Gizzy Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) It may be the length of time that the 'key is actually pressed or pulsed' and interpreted by DCS. For example with my DFD Flight box, the rotary sends a DX pulse for each click, this is seen by my DCS KA-50 Abris rotary as 3 lines.... per click of the DSD rotary - the length of the pulse cannot be changed unless you use an external programme such as autokey.. With a G13 keyboard you can program the key push length, With .005 sec my DCS KA-50 Abris rotary gives 1 line, any more and the number of lines increase. Edited July 1, 2016 by Gizzy
yipster Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I have them programmed to my MFD Cougar contrast up/down buttons, but yes they go crazy when you press it. Half second press can go from A to M in the alphabet entry. :(
