Mission Option F10 Map User Marks

What's the use of F10 Map User Marks in ME mission options that come with 1.5.4 and how to use it?

Found that if this option was selected. When player run mission and draw a distance line from one point to another point in the map and quit the mission. When come back to play that mission again without exit from DCS World. The distance line he drew before quit that mission still there.

Notes, marks from mission editor in F10 map is ok for general F10 mission view. It is like have a briefing information. Make new players notes and mark also is ok, but only for own personal info.

 

BUT what is not ok is make this customizable/on the fly for sharing information between players. Notes and marks in F10 made on the fly should be for own personal information and never sharing with all players in a server like ARMA do. Is not realistic I can make a note over a target and then a P-51 can see this target marked. Is like make a super huge MFD with data-link for WW2.

Hence the nice checkbox they've included to make it -optional-. Turn it off on your WWII server. I'll leave it on on my server. We all win. Why limit it to one play style? Never understood that.

Cannot find that option on the changelog, I'm missing something?

It's back in the thread a little further apparently it's a work-in-progress not yet functional just setting up the UI for what's to come

Must have got ahead of themselves. :) Oh well glad to know they are working on something like this.
