I have been working on a mod to add most of the buildings in the old map to the Mission Editor, doing little bits here and there, still a long way to go.

 

I have the Russian RLS37 Radar installed but I cannot get the radar to turn, I have a basic lua with it and I have tried copying the various radar arguments from other radars in the game but nothing works.

 

I'm using the existing EDM from the game, so I know it does work in the positions where it is installed in game, but just cant get it going as an add on.

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome ?

Im not sure or im wrong but RLS radar is static object for airfield file....but i think you can define as new ground object and then add in mission editor...Eddie i think static object cannot radar turn....

Thanks Sniper, I thought it might be something like that.

 

Way back in the days of LockOn the radars and the tall crane all animated if you added them as Statics, so it must be a change in the game engine setup.

 

I will keep looking, might be something I can fix.

--static without animation

--ground vehicle with animation

 

 

If you can i upload my radar.lua file for tech mod....;)
