VR-Hunter
It is rumored that next-gen GTX Titan is annonced in Cologne, Germany between August 17-21, 2016. Source: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/52886/nvidias-next-gen-titan-50-faster-geforce-gtx-1080/index.html The new Pascal-based Titan X successor will reportedly be 12 inches long, while the new Titan X successor will arrive in 12/16GB versions (as we've previously reported) rocking HBM2 memory. VR World's sources say that the new GPU is actually now bound by the CPU, with NVIDIA's engineers reportedly saying that even Intel's new Core i7-6950X isn't powerful enough to deliver the performance the new Titan cards need in enthusiast level scenarios. TorwaK
After discovered the pixel density option I think most of the people will look for 1080 Ti or Titan based on pascal chips (e.g. myself). Thanks for the heads up. hannibal
i have two computers running GTX1080 one PC has a 2600K & GTX1080, and another 6700K & GTX1080. the 2600K would push 45-60fps in the city dense objects, 90fps in the sky. the 6700K would push 45-90fps in dense objects, 90 stead at other times. my conclusion is that the Titan is over kill for VR. 980Ti, 1070, and 1080 owners are good enough for VR DCS. at a certain point, you need a super uber high frequency quad core CPU. i assume my bottlenecks due to i7 generations, where the 6 gen 6700K has wider data paths along with gen 3 PCIe for the GXT1080. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
