Anyone in the same situation.

Cheers

Thanks yes I had found that unfortunately the software doesn't recognize the Gladiator cpu.

Was hoping someone here had a work around.

Hi Andrew,

The VKB Device Config software v77.2.6 is available >>> HERE <<<

You should be able to test the mode switch in the TEST tab (select your joystick in the list first).

Can you see two different buttons in DCS when you use the different modes for a single physical button?

(e.g. MODE 1: trigger=BTN_1 and MODE 2: trigger=BTN_10)

The shift button works but the mode button that changes the LED and is supposed to change the function of the 13 buttons doesn't work .

I am not clear on the VKB config software all I really want is to load a profile so the Joysticks works as per the manual.

Yes, you definitely shouldn't have to touch the config software ;)

Unless someone can help you here, I'd suggest you head to the official forum to ask for a profile or some detailed help.

That might be faster.

For what I understand - seems the OP are confusing what is the mode button. :)

With the default profile (already loaded in joystick EPROM memory) the MODE button change the buttons in grip, but not the ones in the base, similar to this drawing (just the button # in default profile are different):

file.php?id=3950&mode=view

Joystick has 15 physical buttons (not counting the pinkie button used as "shift" and POV HAT) and using Mode + "shift" plus more 14 "virtual" buttons, 6 in two buttons on top of grip plus 8 in POV HAT + "shift" - POV HAT in mode 1 and 2 still controlling POV.

Think if add this Mode to base buttons things became very confusing... :D

OK

Thanks to all that replied I got the Thing working with 50 buttons using the VKBConfig program

I attached it Use at your own risk :)

It uses the red and green LED and the shift for when the red LED is on.

Thanks Again

Can you tell me what WINDOWS file to save the .cfg file to so the joystick can find it?

VKB Device Config program don't save "profiles" (configuration) in "Windows file", save as "any name you want.cfg" in the folder that you choose:

VKB_Profile.jpg

Will be more easy find if you leave this profiles (.cfg) in the same folder of the program VKB device Config or WIZZO.

This saved "profiles" can be loaded in Gladiator memory with VKB Device Config or WIZZO softwares.

As sokol said you will need the VKB config 77 software there is a link in this thread or it sounds like you can use Wizzo.
