Problem in starting 1.5.4 full version

I updated my regular DCS to 1.5.4, and for some reason I can't start it now. After I click the icon to start it, it simply flashes that update screen for less than a second and then there is no response, as if it forgot completely that I had clicked on it to start. How do you fix this anomaly?

Run a repair, delete DCS from saved games folder (you might want to save Input and Missions folder so you have to redo inoput settings and lose your missions - if you have any). It should work after that.

You mean the one in the users>username>Saved Games> DCS folder right? What all do I have to delete in that and what all should I backup before I delete it?

Yes, in that folder. Just keep the Config/Input and Missions folder. Delete the rest. Run the repair of DCS (don't use any mods) then start it, if it runs, then if you use using some mods, apply one at the time, start DCS and see if it still runs. If not, you have found the culprit.
