SnorreSelmer Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I was turning down the volume of DCS yesterday to better hear my friend on TS as he was going to explain some navigation- and radio-stuff in the Mi-8, and I noticed that the volume didn't lower when I adjusted it the first time. I changed it again and nothing happened. Then I restarted the game and I could barely hear anything (not even the APU or main engines made much noise). I turn up the volume a bit again, aaaaaaand nothing... Restarted DCS once more, and sound is now at a reasonable level. Conclusion: Sound settings don't kick in until you exit DCS. KLR Rico Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I noticed that too. I wanted to turn down the radio communication volume, but it was a PITA. Played a little game where I'd adjust volume -> restart DCS -> start mission -> go back to menu -> repeat. i5-4670K@4.5GHz / 16 GB RAM / SSD / GTX1080 Rift CV1 / G-seat / modded FFB HOTAS
dburne Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 There are some settings that will not kick in until after a restart, has been this way since early days of 1.5 Open Beta. So I made a habit anytime I make a change in DCSW, I exit and re-launch the sim to be safe and know the settings are applied.
