How to activate Smoke Pod

I'll begin aerobatic with F-5E but don't know how to activate the smoke pod?

The same way you fire a sidewinder, select the store, master arm on, pickle button :)

Not sure if it was a bug / fixed but take a look here - apperently you have to jettison them to activate them.

"Firing" a "Sidewinder" didn´t work for me the last time I´ve tried - but I think there was an update inbetween - so maybe this was fixed and you would activate them the same way you´d fire a sidewinder now.

^^^This was true for me as well with the release of the F-5.

Haven't tried with the update so maybe it has changed.

Many thanks for the advice. I'll try it. Just like the L-39C, sometimes has to jettison the pod to activate it.

Now I can make it with two steps per attached picture

1. Set GUNS/MISSILE and CAMERA switch to top position.

2. Turn on position selector switches of wingtip launchers with AIM-9 missiles on armament control panel.

 

Then push the missile launch button the smoke will active.

I can't make it to work, both smoke pods at the same time.

Any advices / ideas ?

If you have just jettisoned tanks, make sure to return the jettison toggle to center. Smoke will not work otherwise.

smoke pods work just like sidewinders, just instead of being fired, they release smoke ;)

 

so every procedure is the same.
