I own all of the available modules (plus the unreleased P-40F) and admit that I have little use for trainers... but like to try them out anyway. But there are a handful of trainers that I want as much or more than some combat capable aircraft. The T-38 is at the top of my "trainers I still want despite the fact that DCS already has too many trainers" list. My interest is in the T-38A, particularly as flown by the Thunderbirds. I would also like the T-37, the T-33, and the T-6 Texan. I am sure if I thought about it, I could think of many more trainers I would like to see modeled to a "DCS" level as I haven't listed any naval aircraft or old biplanes.

Now, having said all of that... Non-combat capable aircraft can be modeled very well in FSX/P3D and X-Plane. A2A has already modeled the T-6 and may at some point do the T-33 if they ever decide to commit to a military jet after canceling the F-104 and F-4. So, despite my interest in military trainers and a desire to see them in DCS World, it just doesn't make sense when aircraft like the F-104 and F-4 aren't even available yet. The F-80, F-84, F-89, F-94, the entire Century series, and numerous MiGs and Sus would be much better for me than any trainer.

But if a T-38A were released tomorrow, I would definitely buy it.

The T-38/F-5F module would be a great addon in my eyes. The only 2 trainers (for all you saying there are too many) that are available are the Hawk and the L-39. The Hawk is still a waste of money for me. I haven't flown it in a very long time. The L-39 I like because of the multi-crew training I can provide, but not at high speeds. It's more of a basic flight trainer, like the T-37 was (I know it has the Z version for weapons, but still.) An AT-38/F-5F would be perfect for training high speeds, dogfighting, ground attack, everything. It would be a definite buy for me.

A-10C - FC3 - CA - L-39 - UH1 - P-51 - Hawk - BS2 - F-86 - Gazelle - F-5E - AV8B - F/A-18C

i5-4590 - GTX 1060 - Oculus CV1 - TM:Warthog
