heloguy Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 So, I purchased this a couple of days ago, and ran through the first mission (Startup, taxi, shutdown) without any problems. After the instructor informed me that the mission was done, I was waiting for the standard (or so I thought) 'Mission Success!' message. I had already powered everything off, including the battery, so I decided to reset all of my TM Warthog buttons to neutral, including the flaps switch. As soon as I moved the flaps switch to center, I was informed that the mission was a failure because I had 'forgotten to rest the flaps to full up'. Power is off, and the flaps did not move, but I guess my question is, is this going to be a recurrence? If so, I will remember to keep my HOTAS buttons as they are after shutdown until I exit, but I just wanted to make sure I understand why I got the fail message. i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2
EntropySG Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 hi, Its been a while since I did it, but just have the pdf checklists that come with it next to you and follow them to the letter. For me that did the trick back then :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sabre-TLA Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Once the FE tells you that you are done, then you are done. I recommend exiting the mission at that point. We didn't include a specific Mission Success or Mission Failure message as we thought the FE's message was clear enough. We can certainly add something like that in a future update. heloguy Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 Appreciate the reply. I'll just remember to exit right away when he says mission complete. i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2
