Hi,

Trying to turn from parking to the taxiway, rudder has no effect, i configured buttons on my joystick for "left wheel brake" and "right wheel brake" but it doesn't work better. Is there anything i missed ?

How do turn on the ground ?

It is only impossible to use the brakes using a digital input. If you use rudder pedals, which provide analogue inputs, then the brakes can be applied partially - and not a straightforward on or off.

The issue with the brakes is due to the choice of control device, and not a bug.

However, it would be better if the digital inputs were tuned to increse braking pressure over time, so you could cadence brake and get better control perhaps?

It seems to be a thing with both of Belsimtek's American fighters which makes me wonder, why doesn't the MiG-15bis have the same problem?

Hi

sorry for my english my friend,s

I bought F-5 E and F-86 sim

in F-86 landing procedure I have the voice of instructor and i can see all of the green square sign to runway but in F-5E I don,t have any sound of instructor and i think some of the green square sign to runway are missed .

am i right or this is the bug

And Iwant know your opinion about made DCS F-4 Sim in futuer ? can we demand of DCS team ?

PLz search about attack to H3 in iran and iraq war i,m from iran in this mission our pilot pass all the iraq and hide and 3 times refuling and attack to all H3 base and there is no mission like this from world war 1 until know .

That's how it works in all other modules (I don't own proper pedals with brakes), digital button on - brake force increases smoothly from 0 to max, but slowly enough to control partial braking by tapping the button.

I don't own F-5E yet, but F-86 also suffered from "insta-blocking" brakes before, which were tuned eventually for us non-analog players in 1.5.3. Maybe the same has to be done for the Tiger?

The training mission sound track doesn't include a voice over, and this is something common to other modules right now too, so it isn't a bug.

The placing of the green boxes is just a mission planning item, and the person who wrote the mission didn't feel the need to add more. Really, you shouldn't worry too much about their placement, as they are just a guide, and most of us find coming in higher makes the landing much more controllable anyway.

Your best approach is to learn the basics in the training mission, then move on quickly to flying a mission without the aids.

The F-4 is definitely a module an awful lot of us would love to see in DCS World. The issue comes down mostly to getting a licence for the intellectual copywrited stuff, and also there is a probability that some of the systems remain classified, though whether that applies to the Phantom, I honestly couldn't say.

So, while there are no plans for one on the table right now, we can only live in hope that one of the dev teams will tackle this icon of the 1960s and 70s some day soon.

Trev,

How are you mapped for taxi ops? I'm thinking you have a TM WH w/ some pedals?

I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) :pilotfly:
