[RESOLVED]DCS doesnt start (error with db_scan.lua and db_mods.lua)

hello

 

i have a fresh installed DCS ....

It doesnt start :S

 

The log file is talking about those 2 .lua script

 

I took those lua file from a friend and replace mine, error are the same :S

manually delete your core mods and demo mods folders and then run a repair.

 

it is most likely a left over from a mod, if it is a fresh install and you have another version of dcs installed it most likely copied it from there.

the main errors still appears :S

Strange, this error is a mod left over, help a few people with the same issue

which versions do you have installed release / open beta / open alpha

 

and what mods have you used in them?

i m using only le 1.5.4 version (no alpha, no beta)

for the mod, i have uninstall / disable all JSGME mod. But i have a couple of official mod like the M2Kc, A10c etc ....

what user / unofficial modifications have you been using?

caucase map and a couple of WWII mods (like the birsmark ship)

 

i have another computer where my DCS is working, i copied all stuff to the one wich doesnt work.

still not work, i have the same log error

and have you tried navigating to

 

DCS World\Scripts

 

delete scripts folder

 

and run a repair

delete / rename your saved games dcs folder as well ( keep your input folder so you dont have to redo your controls )

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS

 

restart dcs allow it to create a fresh one and redo your settings

ok I need to see the whole logs folder zipped to make sure nothing else is going on

also your autoupdate_log.txt from your install location

 

we may find some clues in that log as well

Last try before we wipe dcs off and start fresh.

 

can you delete these folders in your dcs install location

 

_downloads

_backup.001 ( any folder called backup )

 

coremods

demomods

mission editor

scripts

 

 

once they are deleted run a repair

Forza42, please describe what addons did you used before this error appears. You wrote also that DCS was fresh, nevertheless I'm suspect some files was left from previous installation.
