rrohde Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 So, here I was, looking forward to plugging the F-5 into the updated DCS World 2.0.3 for some nice instrument flying, only to find out that NTTR is giving airfield elevation information in meters now - instead of feet (see screenshot). This wasn't the case before the 2.0.3 update... My settings are set to display Imperial units. Anything else I can check? NeilWillis Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 There is a global units option in the gameplay tab of the options section. Worth checking that is not set to metric there.
rrohde Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Checked that initially... set to Imperial. rrohde Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) EDIT: Tried again just now, and without changing anything, now it's back to feet... odd. I'll keep an eye on it and see if I find a pattern (or me running a repair and then deselecting Imperial, selecting Metric, and then back to Imperial did the trick). ricktoberfest Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Could it have been you spawned as a Russian aircraft? Similar to on a server when the red f5 has Russian spoken language from the ground crew Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
rrohde Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 It was just me in the F-5; defaulted to meters right from the start. But it seems to be okay now. :) PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com

Both release and alpha are stuck on metric it seems. 1

I wonder if this is a bug now since it affects others as well... Livers Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I've been using DCS for 1.5 years, and I can't remember it ever being displayed in feet vs meters, release or otherwise. Maybe it's time to delete my options.lua, the only thing I haven't tried.
