diditopgun Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Hi ! I did my test with instant action mission "take off" and in a new mission (so not related to old mission bug). In OBL radar mode or overfly mode after hit REC or Radar INS update on stick, when I hit "VALID" on PCN the waypoint position is not updated and REC button don't go dark. (And I am at less than 15nq as manual specified). Zeus67 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'll check. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
Frederf Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) I don't expect TAS-OBL to work yet because of no radar ranging but I notice that trying to update produces angle-radius update values which include +- bearing values. The "VAL" light only illuminates when valid positive bearings are shown. It seems to be a vestige of angles "-180 to +180" instead of expected "+0 to +360". With selector in delta L/G the offsets to update are normal and VAL illuminates in all cases (update size not too large of course). Test: Overfly INS update is making assumed position equal to true position in all cases including those where the update is performed badly. Example: Align INS as accurately as possible with waypoint over recognizable geographic feature. Trial 1, takeoff as normal; trial 2, introduce a deliberate ownship position error by +2'' N latitude before takeoff. When arriving at waypoint with geographic reference note: Trial 1, waypoint is shown at geographic reference. Trial 2, waypoint is shown ~2nm south of geographic reference. Perform an INS overflight update of any quality, being anywhere within 15nm of waypoint. Notice: Trial 1, waypoint is roughly in the same position as before at geographic reference. Trial 2, waypoint is at geographic reference. Perform any number of subsequent INS overfly updates of any quality and note that in any case the waypoint is shown in the same location as after the first update. Edited August 5, 2016 by Frederf
diditopgun Posted August 19, 2016 Author Posted August 19, 2016 Radar and Overfly update still broken it seems... After clic on joystick INS update button (OBL mode, radar ON) or REC button, VAL button illuminate, but after validation it don't update waypoint position. Harke Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 hmm after some testing, ins recalibration (obl or rec) work only one time for each navpoint
