Alright gents. I am returning this ASUS motherboard and the new gigabyte motherboard comes in tomorrow. :music_whistling:

Question, do I need to just unplug everything from the old one and literally just swap them out or do I need to reformat all my drives?

Your drives will be fine, but you may have some hiccups with drivers. You should be able to just swap it aall over and then let windows find all the new drivers for you. If your windows install is old however, it may be a good opportunity to reformat and start again, if you have the time and patience that is.

I pretty much always do a format and clean install when I change motherboards, but usually I go from one platform to another. If your just swapping brands within the same platform you "may" get lucky and be worth a try...

No problem as there is no more HAL as XP used to work with.

You may deinstall drivers you know that you wont need anymore
