Hello People,

need you input here. Bought a CV1 about a month ago and it's been great. But I'm sure those who read through the vr forums have head it often enough already, so I'll get to the point:

When I'm in the DCS settings menu, the maximum resolution I can select is 1080p. I changed it to the correct resolution and aspect ratio in the config file manually and although it then shows up as the current resolution in the settings menu (still can't select it from the drop down menu though), the actual resolution hasn't percievably changed. I also noticed that Ii don't seem to have the full colour range avaliable. At leats at dusk or dawn the sky kind of look like 8bit.

Tried reinstalling the Drivers, but it didn't change anything.

Anybody's got any ideas or the same problem?

My Specs:

GTX 970

Xeon E3-1231 v3

16 GB RAM

SSD

Running the Rift from an HDMI Port and USB 2.0 (though tracking and sound works perfectly).

Thanks!

if you use a higher than default pixel density the image is rendered at a higher resolution then scaled down to the res of the rift, (which gives that extra clarity.

The resolution option you see in the option menu is for your fullscreen res. It's not for the CV1/VIVE.

The game is automatically downscaled to the VR headset (menu and in-engine).

You cant change resolution in VR mode, only the screen mirror which is your HMD image actually.

I dont understand the color problem. Does that happen on your HMD or regular screen or both?

But i know a very common issue happened on OLED screen, the red tints related to OLED lifespan. The blue pixel fade out faster. My headset have noticeable red pixel like dusts and fog.
