REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Hey fellas. I have some questions about setting up a tanker in my missions. 1. Do I have to assign it enough waypoints to "keep it flying" throughout the mission, or can I have the tanker stay on one waypoint, on station, until is has to return homeeither at a set time or fuel state? 2: For some reason, I experience that tankers breaks from whatever route is setup and performs a very slow turn as soon as I request fuel. Is it not possible to have the tanker fly a racetrack pattern? Refueling in DCS is already hard as hell, but I can not get the tanker to fly straight on station. Ideally, I want a tanker cruising at 20-24 K doing 300 kts in a racetrack.
MasterZelgadis Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 You make 2 waypoints, pretty far away from each other (75 nm or so), on the first waypoint you set the advanced waypoint action "Perform Task" -> "Orbit", choose "Racetrack" as pattern. Set altitude and speed as desired. "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
