Really getting into this great plane in DCS and a couple of things seem odd:

* I can map TDC left/right/upbut not down! I guess the proper answer is to map it to the axis control on the throttle.

* I use a OR and can't figure out how can I turn the HSI course and heading dial? I have mouse wheel up/down mapped to a 3 pos button on my Warthog throttle, but if I click it it only moves the knob a small amount, about 2 degrees. So if I need to dial in a 90 change I have to click the button 45 times :( Anyway you can map an auto-repeat on a button? I've tried changing press to down in the lua, but can't see much difference.

Thanks,

James

I'd like to give my thanks to Belsimtek for adding both the toggle and separate position for all the switches. It's really useful if you have some panel with separate switches position (though you have to assign custom key shortcuts).

But, I did notice that there's no axis for the HSI course setting? I think it would be VERY helpful to have one because setting it with the mouse in flight is next to impossible.

Since some HOTAS systems have the wheel controls with a centre position, I guess maybe one solution might be to use e.g. the left half of the HOTAS wheel movement to move the course dial from 360 to 180 degrees (e.g. through 3xx, 2xx, 19X, 18X values) while the other wheel half would turn it right from 0 to 180 (e.g. through XX/1XX/17X values).

Also, the reticule knob axis is very hard to use IMHO the way it is although I presume that the knob on the real plane has no physical limits, hence why it's implemented as it is?

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

I'm using keyboard Z and X (rudder by default), which works fine for me since I have the throttle near the keyboard which makes these keys quickly accessible. The axis wouldn't hurt though, specialy for VR.

I found that the twist axis on the stick works great for the reticle. Any self centering axis should be fine I guess. What kind of axis do you use?
