Ok made some tests. AIM 120 will have LA at 10km and Below the missile is ofc Pitbull! :D AIM9 same range but not at all effective range (about 5 km or less).

Western paylod rocks for now. And I don't know if it was in your intension but everything is in Mig21bis capabilities which looks so realistic and not at all overpowered! Very nice work! Goin for more with ER/ET and R-73. Wish I could see the R-77.

OK R77 looks really cool on that thing. My final test on R 77 / AIM120 & AIM9 / R 73 .

All radar and active radar missiles will get tone at below 10 km, but you can override that with the Bomb Arm switch. However many time the missile's are goin MadDog.

From the LA zone the missile's are deadly.

IR are not all aspect only rear and sometimes side aspect. Range will depend on type. R73 lock tone 6-5 km & AIm9 about 8-9km.

Bombs work like a charm especially snakeeys look really nice on the mig.

It's a mod. Yeah it should be on the mod section. So what? Mig21's are flying right now loaded with lazer guided bombs, R 77,R73 and Python missiles. Why is this so unrealistic. It's a mod deal with it. Nobody is forcing LN or you to use it. Relax bro.

Just as well I guess you could have posted it in the Ka-50 section because it says in the title that is about Mig21Bis.

I have no problem with mods but I do have a scale of appreciating them just like you or anybody else. We can say a few critic opinions about modules and I think we are allowed to say some about some mods.

For me such mod is as valuable as a graffiti with a "cool" name made with "cool" letters on Mona Lisa (I do appreciate though the album cover photo of ST - The Art of Rebellion). In fact I don't appreciate graffiti... sorry.

 

I can only imagine how much work went into DCS Mig21Bis and probably Dolphin887 is full of warm emotions to see finally the AIM54 hanging on his Mig like trophies.

 

Please note that I am not talking really seriously as this mod is not so serious. So no need to get red at the face.

Nobody cares for Aim54 on MIG. But bison and lancer c capabilities enthusiasts me and other people. And I m glad that Rlaxoxo took this of his time and shared.

Been wanting to edit the MiG 21 load outs some, I've mostly worked on the M2000, F-5 and L-39ZA so far. Thanks for sharing this, OP!

 

Normally I just edit load outs to have some possible or somewhat realistic new armaments, but I certainly can enjoy a mod that pulls out all the stops! Let's not critique this gentleman for simply making a mod for others to enjoy- no one is forced to use it and the Mona Lisa is just fine :)

 

The twin MK 82s interest me- I can see some low fast snakeeye drops on convoys being fun!

 

Very interesting that the active radar missiles go pitbul... I didn't realize they would do that!

 

@Mod author was this simply about adding the new weapon IDs to the aircraft lau, or were extra steps needed to get them to actually fire from the MiG?

I Initially had planes of implementing Mavericks and other Missiles but I didn't have much time to fiddle with creating new Weapon ID and it's Stats for it to be able to fire from the Mig

 

So I've settled with just adding the Payload ID's.

Since they behave similar to R-60's and R-3R's they're functioning rather well already with no additional tweaks
