Pocket Sized Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Something I've found time and time again when teaching new players the ropes of DCS is they always get confused by the ground crew logic. Myself included when I started out. Suggestion for non clickable AC: On the rearming image that shows the plane add something along the lines of "WARNING: Allow engines to stop completely before contacting ground crew." Slightly more complex but a better solution overall would be to grey out the OK button while the engines are above 5% with a message. I cannot say how frustrating it is to spend 2 minutes setting up a load out on the frogfoot only to realize the engines were ACTUALLY at 5.0001% and have to do it over again. Also, a timer that calculates refueling times would be relatively easy to implement and very useful. (Refueling always happens at 3000lb/min) Speaking of the fueling time, I can't help but doubt WWII birds often refueled in less than 60 seconds...:megalol: DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. MikeMikeJuliet Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 There should be a way to hot-refuel as well. Not sure if it applies to all fighters or attackers, but it should be there for the planes that actually have the ability. Considering your idea, it would be good if the ground crew implied that you still had engines running, and only activate the loadout screen after they are happy with your aircraft and ready to load/refuel. Either way would be a helpful addition. DCS Finland | SF squadron
