Hey folks,

I am looking into CH sticks as my X-52 Pro might need retirement in near future. To be exact, I am looking into fighter stick and pro throttle. Noticed that CH sticks have trim wheels on them.

And I would love to have a stick which can give me an opportunity to trim to aircraft on all axis (aileron, rudder and elevator) using wheels or similar. Not intended to pay 200€ for a trimming deceive, something like this :D:

(Unless you know of some other cheaper option).

Hence my question is: Are those trim wheels on stick work as trim surfaces for aircraft in game? Or are they merely some adjustment mechanics for joystick?

And any other joystick recommendation which can survive longer and got trim wheels? Warthog seems to have plastic inside in them. Saiteks build quality is appalling and Logitech needs a quick retirement.

Those trimwheels on the CH stick are directly conected to the potentiometers of the X and Y axis inside of the stick. Moving them means you can indeed trim the aircraft ingame. Problem is that the mechanic may develope play over time and the potentiometers doesn't center properly anymore.

The third wheel to the left is intended for use as throttle.

I have never tried to use those wheels as trim, but I doubt you can adjust trim precisely with them ,as they have not much of travel.

I don't know of any Stick or Throttle with Trim wheels included. Some people made their own controlers for Trim using multiturn potentiometers. That's propably the best solution, because you can set it up and make it look as you like. You would need a controler board such as Leo Bodnar BU0836X or BU0836A controler board. There are some other Brand boards aswell.

Saitek has a device for Trim too,but in my opinion it is expensive for what it is.

GoFlight products seem really overpriced too.
