Gierasimov Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Not sure if this a bug or a feature but I am unable to create the roadblock or check point or even a traffic jam. Examples include AI traffic on the ground not stopping / diverting when there is an obstacle on the road. General civilian traffic in military areas or simple ground objects not colliding (cars on the road go right through structures or units like ghosts* or something (*I never seen a ghost though so the paranormal bit is only “as seen in movies”)… Any observations from mission makers? Grimes Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 It is simply the civilian traffic option in the forced mission settings. The civilian traffic can barely described as "AI" as they don't really exist as objects. They follow a path, can explode, and if a bridge is destroyed stop. That is about all they can do. 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. DarkFire Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 ^ This. The civilian traffic is mostly just decoration. Military units that you place & control with the mission editor will behave in the way you want, but not the civ traffic, unless they physically can't proceed, e.g. the destroyed bridge scenario. That being said, you have to be careful with military units: some, like tanks, will try to drive around obstacles and can go off-road to avoid things. 1 System Spec: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Black Edition case. | AMD 5950X CPU | MSI RTX-3090 GPU | 32GB HyperX Predator PC4000 RAM | | TM Warthog stick & throttle | TrackIR 5 | Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 4 SSD 1TB (boot) | Samsung 870 QVO SSD 4TB (games) | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Wrecking Crew Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Blow a bridge and go down there where the traffic jam builds up and you will hear auto horns blaring and people yelling (j/k on the people part). Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
