ebabil Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 A recent news shows an intersting plane manufacturing story between Turkey and Germany After the WW2, Turkey and Germany made some agreements on developing airplanes. In these times, Germany sent 75 Fw-190 A3 to Turkey. But, US wanted to send it's thousands of planes to allies to get rid of them after the ww2. as an ally, Turkey got it's slice of the pie. But it wasn't actually free. USA wanted Turkey to destroy their Fw-190's. Turkey did. They wrapped and burried more than 50 Fw-190 beneath an AFB in Kayseri Turkey. Thus, Turkey cooperation on developing planes with Germany ended. Turkey never developed an airplane from then on. According to news, Now some army officers say that these planes may be removed from their graves. And Germans think that they still may fly.. Museums would be very happy if this happens.
