Good morning,

I was wondering if once "The Merge" takes place owners of Nevada will be able to install it on a seperate machine as a server without having to purchase 2 copies.

He is talking for using on a server and then using the same key on a different computer and flyinf on that server, in that case, I havent heard any change in how that will work. When the dedicated server shows up, I dont know if something will change there.

So in theory if you want to run a server you're gonna need a copy of all the maps you wanna fly on?

Indeed, that appears to be the case. I raised the question of allowing dedicated servers to run maps without a license when NTTR arrived, but we ended up purchasing one for our server.

I suspect that is a major treason why there are so few NTTR servers out there at present. It may get very expensive when we start to see a lot more DLC maps.

It would be extremely useful to either have a cut-down version of DCS World which bypasses licenses for maps, which will host sessions but can't be used to enter cockpits, or a method of getting free copies of licenses on proof of their use only on a bona-fide publicly accessible server perhaps?
