1.5.5 Multiplayer workaround for the Rift?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, I did look but came up empty.

1.5.5 has been updated as the current stable 1.5 release and the bottom screen buttons in the multiplayer UI appear to still be broken with the Rift. I can join a server by double-clicking on the server name --no problem there. However, I cannot interact with the EXIT, DISCONNECT or BRIEFING buttons.

Is there a workaround for this issue? Thanks.

Haha I had the exact same issue when I first got the rift.

On your desktop move your taskbar to the left or right hand side of your screen rather than the bottom - bet it works then!

Apparently I'm not making myself clear. What I am referring to is the last bullet in this list, taken from the most recent update's Change Log;

Known major issues:

  • Mouse cursor is visible on mission start in FC's cockpits
  • L-39: RadioCommandDialogPanel error when MP client second time occupied the rear cockpit
  • Oculus: bottom buttons on multiplayer GUI are not clicable

I am asking if there is a workaround for that.

I can click them no problem. To echo the other guys. Are you running DCS in full screen via Ctrl-Enter after DCS starts?

If I don't do this and try to click on the lower buttons, even with mouse trap enabled, I usually end up hitting my Windows toolbar...

If you are and they're not working... Dunno man, have had no issues like what you're describing with the Rift in the current DCS build.

Interesting. That worked. I actually was clicking on the taskbar. That never happened until the 11/3 update. Oh well. :)

Thanks for the help gents.

Same here, can't use DCS because of this, as since switching to the Rift I have no interest in anything other then multiplayer and VR :-(
I simply did what Wright GR1 did --I moved my taskbar over to the right side of the screen just to see if that would work and it did. If nothing else is working for you, give that a try.

I'll give that a go. Thanks :-)

Was just experimenting with, why the game/graphical settings, saved into a mission file, overwrites some of the clients settings (totally different story, and cant put my finger on exactly what it is. But when hosting a mission file, which has been saved with maxed out settings, I get much worse performance, than when using a mission file, that has been saved with my normal settings). At one point I deleted the options file from within the .miz file, just to see what would happen. Created a server, and then suddenly, I couldnt use the lowest row of interface buttons. Had previously, not been a problem.

Options file back into the mission file, and voila, bottom row worked fine again.

Not a work around, but maybe a little light on what is happening when trying to join servers, and buttons dont work.
