hughlb Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Is it normal for DCS to tell me that TrackIR is disabled when I unplug my mouse? For some reason TrackIR just completely stops working when I unplug my mouse in DCS, however when I quit DCS and enter the TrackIR software, it works perfectly. This also happens when I unplug my game controller - it shuts down TrackIR in DCS. I'm concerned that a TrackIR stutter issue I am having is somehow linked to mouse view in DCS - and now it seems there is a link at least, between the mouse being connected and TrackIR running. Abburo Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) That is not a real problem. Lately seems that USB controllers are struggling to provide enough stable power on outputs. So that any kind of change (plug/unplug) device can create a momentary power drain, reason for which the TrackIR will be disabled for a fraction of second.... In order to reactivate you need just to restart the game. Happens the same in DCS for any "lost" controller. Simply change your habit and don't unplug your mouse or any other device while in game :). TrackIR as well as Saitek/MadCatz devices are draining a lot of power from USBs and is generally recommended to use powered USB hubs for them.
