ron533 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Hi, I have a spare Nvidia Quadro 6000 graphic card, (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-quadro-6000-us.html) would DCS or any other game benefit from it if I add it to my rig along side my GTX 1060 6GB card? besides selling it/replacing it with a GTX card? Thanks! p.s. I use 3 monitors... Edited November 18, 2016 by ron533 Callsign SETUP
Insonia Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Studio/Workstation cards are made for rendering, video editing and multi purpose calculation, all for industry business .Not gaming. It's a productivity tools. You have to pay a lot more than desk one. And get almost nothing on gaming, even worse.
Sporg Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 According to this FutureMark comparison, it scores less than a GTX 470: http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/NVIDIA+Quadro+6000/review So my guess is, not really. :) Probably better to sell it, and buy some more current GTX card. System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
ron533 Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 Thank you guys! Thought it could add some calculation power in addition to my existing graphic card... I'll try to replace it maybe with another gaming card. Cheers...! Callsign SETUP
razo+r Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Either add another 1060 or get a 1080 or 1080 Ti Quadros are more for rendering, not for playing
