Dear Comrades!

I've been happily hosting a server for my friends the past 2 years but since my upgrade to windows 10 I find it impossible to get one running =(

Previously on windows 8.1 this was no problem, I just forwarded the ports in my router and voila! I'm still using the same anti-virus (but now on windows 10) and the same ISP.

I'm running DCS 1.5.5

Actions I've taken:

- Googled the hell out of this

- Searched the ED forums

- Forwarded port 10308 on my router

- Allow port 10308 through windows firewall (inbound and outbound)

- Allow DCS through firewall

- DMZ'd my computers local IP

- Rebooted my pc a 1000 times

- Performed various checks on Canyouseeme.org , and the port remains blocked (where on windows 8.1 this would show open)

I'm getting a bit clueless and hope anyone else had similar issues and could help me out!

Thanks a lot!

I host using windows 10 with no issues

You seem to have covered everything

is DCS running as admin?

what anti virus are you using? have you added the whole dcs folder and the exe's to your allowed list?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm using Webroot Secure anywhere and even with turning both firewall's to OFF, webroot and windows, the problem still persists =( So I guess it has nothing to do over there =(

When you upgraded to windows 10, did you just go over the top of your windows 8.1 install with the original firewall and antivirus already installed ????

In the past, any new operating system would need an upgrade of any third party antivirus and / or firewall software, so if they were already installed when you upgraded win8.1, I would uninstall both the antivirus and firewall software and reload it, and make sure they are windows 10 compatible.

Third party firewalls are notorious for disabling all ports if turned off, so I would still uninstall webroot fw, test DCS without the firewall and then reload the firewall and re test DCS again to see if it works in either configurations.

Also check that the forward port in the router is still pointing to the same IP address as before, and that the IP address of your computer hasn't changed.
