rattler Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I know most of you go bigger than 17" but I have my reasons for staying in that size. Since a lot of you use LCD screens I would like to ask you what do you think of the Samsung 740n? I know refresh rate is important for LCD's. This looks good on paper but your input would be appreciated. Cheers.
Kuky Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I used to use Samsung 740N, then I changed to 940N and I'm happy with both, but I do think the 17" is little better then 19" as it has more luminesence and contrast ratio. I can't remember the exact specs right now but having used both i do feel so... anyway, if you want 17" I think you'll be happy with this Samsung... only this one doesn't have DVI connector, only VGA, and 8ms response time is pretty alright, but it can get better :) ... (added:) some 17" LCD's now have response time as low as 2ms. edit: typos :D PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
