B52EW Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I'm not sure if this is a common issue, but I am having cursor problems. With the VIVE I have use mouse selected, however, when I load up the cursor is tied to where I am looking rather than freely moving. Furthermore, I get the blue cross instead of the white dot.
Rushman Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 the same with the oculus. i can' t access to the backward cockptit.

3ra_Luke Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 The only temporary solution is activate Communications Menu, so the cursor is unlocked and can be moved normally. Works for me. Baggy MacDouche Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 (edited) I don't want to be that guy(despite my namesake), but how does something like this get missed in internal QC, even if something could have gone awry in compiling? Code update, fire up VR, try to use mouse, hmmm... NeilWillis Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Utterly broken? All you have to do is move your head to move the pointer over the requisite button to manipulate it. Inconvenient, yes, but utterly broken? Get real guys! Sure it should have been picked up in testing, and I have every confidence it will get fixed very soon. It makes a lot of sense with all updates to deal with them conservatively. If you have a Beta and a release version of DCS World, just update one, and then see what, if any bugs exist before you update the other version. Considering VR is still a minority area of DCS World, you ought to be a little more pragmatic, and you ought to bear in mind that currently DCS World is undergoing some fundamental changes. While all that was happening, the team took the trouble to make sure VR was supported as completely as possible. The occasional glitch is inevitable, as any past experience of the upgrades added to DCS World will testify. You can roll back to a previous install. You can do as I suggested, and run 2 versions (in 1.5.5 at least). Or you can work through the problem for a week or two until a fix arrives. The bottom line is that any one of those approaches allow you to fly without any real difficulties, so don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. That is the price you pay for weekly updates. The developers are always up against deadlines, and inevitably stuff will slip through the net.
B52EW Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 Glad to know it wasn't just me. Hope it's fixed soon.
CrimsonGhost Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 I will throw my hat in the ring here as also having the same issue with VR. i7-7700K @ 5.2Ghz SLI 1080Ti 64GB GSkill Trident Z RGB 4133 Asus Maximus IX Extreme Custom Water Cooling Loop TM Warthog/ MFG Crosswind
DerekSpeare Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 While the base content is free, none of those planes have clickable cockpits. Since the game is a premium, with many customers having most or all of the content, it's not unreasonable to expect that vigorous testing should prevent carelessness like this. Such is life, and we get what they give us, but circumstances like this can, and should, be prevented.
