Mission 8 is broken (Spoiler alert!)

Trying to complete mission 8,

Mission is to take off from gaudata and meet su-25's then provide escort 4 su 25's while they try to kill 4 enemy mortar

 

Here is list of anomalies:

 

* 4 Su-25 take off, immediately 2 of them explode

* Rest of them can never kill mortars completely

* After i kill enemy planes, i give accomplish signal via radio then land but game doesn't end

* 2 Su-25's pass the border eventually then they explode as soon as they pass the border

 

After they explode, "Mission Failed" message end mission ends with failure and can't proceed to next one..

those who suffer from this mission's bug; i passed this mission loading some bombs and kill ground units by myself while my wingman deals with 2 enemy planes.

Yes, the issue is annoying.

Using the gun also works on the mortar.

I have the same issue completing this mission in the current version of DCS World. Two Su-25's explode immediately on takeoff, and the other two don't destroy the mortars. I watched them flying around the target at low level, climbing up and down mountains until they eventually crashed into the mountains. I'm guessing destroying the target myself may be the only way to progress.

 

I considered changing the Su-25 group starting position from "Takeoff from Runway" to "Takeoff from Parking -- Hot" to see if that stops the two aircraft from exploding on the runway. However, I'm currently unable to edit any of the mission files. The campaign mission files are not set as "Read Only," but the folder containing it is. No matter how many times I remove "Read Only" and apply the changes to the folder, subfolder, and files, the campaign folder remains "Read Only." As it stands, I can't test any new solutions to this mission, so I hope someone can take the time to fix this mission in the next patch for us.

I just attempted this mission in 1.6 Open Beta, and it appears to be working now. There's also a new option to assign the wheel brakes to an axis on the Su-27. Thanks for the fix, devs!
