LC34 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 After I had to uninstall version 1.5 I'm going through my files as it seems there wasn't a major change in SSD space after the uninstall. I see I have a folder C> Eagle dynamics> DCSworld2OpenAlpha. I know that is were my NTTR map and red flag campaigns are. Then I see this folder C>DCS World file size is 12.3 GB. Is this where 1.5 was before the uninstall? Everything in there is .bin files and a couple of applications DCS World 1.2, F-86 1.2 and FC3 1.2 If it was, to reinstall should I just install it right to this folder? Or would it be best to delete this entire folder and start from the beginning? Obviously I wont touch the open alpha folder as that is the 2.0 version of DCS world. I just made a mistake and deleted 1.5 thinking I didn't need it  AMD Ryzen 7 7800X#D 64 GB Ram MSI RTX 4090 Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS
cthulhu68 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Both DCS World and Open Alpha should have been in Eagle Dynamics folder. I would not redirect new install. That other folder could be part of an older DCS 1.2 install I guess. 1
LC34 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 ok so I will just let it install where it is defaulted to. I just didn't know if I left that older folder there if it would make the install quicker as there might be files there already. I will probably just delete that older file and go from there. cthulhu68 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 The installer will copy a lot from Open Alpha install so that should speed it up.
