Hello,

First, forgive if it is repeated.

I´d like to know if there is a manual, or a guide or "How to use" dynamic weather.

I'm trying to create missions in which the weather changes, and we can find storms that move around the map.

Making areas with different weather conditions is more or less easy, but I'm mainly interested in being able to have a stormy front that moves from one point of the map to another site.

Is that possible?

Any help is welcome.

Thank you.

Check this thread started a few weeks ago: How to Edit Weather.

I've been doing my own experimenting and systems seem to move from west to east at roughly 35 km/hr and the direction can't be changed. The rate and direction seem fixed, though I haven't experimented with all possibilities.

EDIT: I thought that thread had a link to a PDF someone made on Dynamic Weather but that's not what it links to. Anyway, I've attached the PDF to this post.

Well...

Ironhand... How can you do to move along the map a stormy front??

I´ve read the Pdf that you linked, and I haven´t found anything on that point.

We can change the form, the strengh, the position, the rotation... but I don´t see how can I move along the map a storm.

Dear Santa.... this year I have been a very good boy. Please give me for the New Year, a more "User-Friendly" dynamic weather for the DCS World.

Many of us will thank you.

As I mentioned in my first post, you can't. At least, not that I can find. Systems seem to move from west to east at about 35 km/hr along the longitudinal line (centerZ) you placed it on whether you want it to or not. So it moves on its own but only in one direction and at its own speed.

Of course, I reserve the right to be wrong about this. So far, though, rotation and shape have no bearing on movement. I plan to check radius (pressure spread) next. But I doubt there'll be any change.

As near as I can tell with some limited tests, size does not matter (much to the consternation of my wife who's always claimed the opposite). The system seems to still move across the map at about 35 km/hr regardless of size.
